Flash Lube
Instalation & when to use / does my engine require flash lube?
For instalation instructions please click on this link
The following statement is taken from the flash lube website which can be accessed by following this link FLASH LUBE EUROPE, please bare in mind that they would ofcourse like everyone to use flashlube! But it has to be said that flashlube does work also more and more installers are fitting it as part of the standard conversion.
Does every vehicle need it? In my opion, no. But it's not an expensive product, so I would say, if in doubt, fit it!
Certainly any vehicle known to have soft valve seats, or designed to run on leaded fuel should have the system installed.
I run a Chevrolet Blazer with a 4.3ltr V6 vortek engine, I have never heard it said that this engine requires flashlube, but I like it and I have every intention of keeping it for some time to come, so I have fitted a lube system for my own peace of mind.
''How can you reduce the risk of premature cylinder head failure?
Use Flashlube Valve Saver Fluid, Europe's No.1 selling Lead Replacement Additive. With specially developed upper cylinder lubricants and cleaners most of the foregoing problems are reduced or eliminated. It cleans and controls valve seat deposits, resulting in better valve cooling through the valve seats and reduces exhaust valve overheating due to leakage of hot exhaust gases. The risk of valve sticking is reduced - also a major cause of valve and valve seat burning.

Flashlube Valve Saver Fluid is not an ordinary upper cylinder lubricant/cleaner. It is the first upper cylinder lubricant cleaner in Australia containing a lead substitute, greatly reducing valve seat recession and providing all the lubrication qualities of leaded petrol. Flashlube Valve Saver Fluid will increase the life of valves and valve seats and reduce component corrosion. The powerful cleaning additives control upper cylinder deposits, reducing the risk of pre ignition caused by hot combustion chamber deposits. The lubricant will maintain the performance and durability of your engine.

Flashlube Valve Saver Fluid is applied to the LPG at a ratio of 1 to 1,000, via the patented and award winning Automatic Lubrication Kit. More than 170,000 Kits have been installed in LPG and Petrol engines across Australia and thousands more across Europe. The flow is fully adjustable and easily observed in the sight glass. All fittings are silver soldered and made from brass and copper. It suits any passenger car, 4WD or truck, is easy to install, fully automatic, and is maintenance free.

The Flashlube Valve Saver Kit has a proven record judging by the ever increasing sales and positive testimonials from Flashlube installers and end-users and has saved motorists thousands of EURO'S in unnecessary cylinder head repairs or replacements. Flashlube Valve Saver Fluid offers excellent protection when using unleaded fuel utilising the very latest oil industry technology.''
Flash Lube oil and saver systems are available from Tinley Tech and other uk suppliers.
View of a typical flashlube instalation.
The point of these pictures is to show that the Flashlube should enter the inlet manifold just after the throttle butterfly to ensure an even distribution of oil over all of the cylinders.
